INSPIRING OUR FUTURE

It’s a priority at Baltimore County Farm Bureau to give our next generation the tools they need to succeed, while improving the level of food awareness in our communities.

Congratulations to Lynne Thomas, Miss Baltimore County Farm Bureau 2020!  As the recipient of the Miss BCFB recognition, Lynne is awarded a $2,500 college scholarship and $500 cash prize. Lynne is the nineteen-year-old daughter of Anita and Charles Thomas. She is a graduate of the Natural Resources and Agricultural Sciences magnet program at North Harford High School. Her passion for agriculture education has led her to pursue a degree in Agricultural and Extension Education with minors in Horticulture, Agribusiness Management, and Food Science & Technology at West Virginia University. She was an active Baltimore County 4-H’er for fourteen years, serving in many leadership positions at the local, county, and state levels. Currently she is giving back to the 4-H program as a volunteer in her local club and at the county and state levels. Lynne was an active FFA member, where she served as a chapter officer and participated in many career and leadership development events including milk quality and products, prepared public speaking, and employment skills. She was honored to serve as the 2018-2019 Maryland Dairy Princess, traveling the state promoting Maryland’s dairy industry. Lynne was also the BCFB 2019 Miss. Having achieved Miss Baltimore County Farm Bureau, Lynne is next tasked with competing on the State contest level.  The purpose of the Miss Maryland Agriculture Program is to surface young women with agricultural backgrounds to serve as leaders in the effort to promote our industry, agricultural education, and the Farm Bureau organization throughout the year and in the future.

We wish our best to Lynne as she competes at the State level.
